Wednesday 16th April 2008 - Uiscedwr in concert – Cellar Bar
Click on the above text link for the main information page on this concert - A long overdue rescheduled concert featuring the wonderful Uiscedwr in Concert. Many of you may remember Dave Swarbrick’s Lazarus stepping in to replace the original scheduled show in December 2006. Anna is now back to full health and the band are raring to play the Maltings. Uiscedwr is known as one of Britain's most exciting contemporary folk bands. Featuring fiddle, guitar, vocals and the most expertly played percussion you're ever likely to hear, Uiscedwr offer a fresh and original approach to folk, bringing an energy and virtuosity to their performances that gets people screaming for more. With a sting of major festivals under their belt like Cropredy, Cambridge and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Uiscedwr are fast becoming one of the most exciting and popular folk acts on the UK today...... Start time: 8.00pm… Doors open 7.30... End time: Aprox 11.00 pm… Ticket price £10.00 (£9.00 concessions).

HISTORY…
The Folking.com @ The Maltings project has been put together for two main reasons. The first is to showcase some of the finest folk and acoustic talent available today. The second is to raise money for
www.folking.com so that we can continue to offer a free entertainment and directory service to musicians and fans alike, allowing us to continue to promote and support the music we love.
