Back before the Mecury Music Nomination and major record deals Seth Lakeman, Sean Lakeman and Ben Nicholls came to play folking live at the Farnham Maltings in Surrey in February 2005 armed only with the instruments you see on stage and a battered up old white van and stunned a 70 plus audience. I was re-arranging some old photos and came across this and it made me feel all nostalgic. What I have always loved about the folk scene is the energy and spirit that comes from live music and the bard like effect a great act like Seth’s has on its audience.
